things I love: part 3

It has been so much fun to consciously look around and recognize the things I love each week. Here are a few from this past week!

I love Pacifica so much. Hikes down there are always magic - the air is crisp and fresh and many trails allow for scenic ocean views. This one took me about two hours. The first half is pretty much all up hill, which is rather strenuous, but it was a great workout with beautiful views! I recommend hiking boots for it so you've got traction. It starts by the Orchid Farm! It seems like you're not going the right way as you're driving up to it, but you'll see the trailhead once you get to the lot - it's right by the Orchid Farm entrance.

If you have seen me in the past week virtually or in real life, I was probably wearing this sweatshirt in periwinkle. I got it from Sunset Mercantile on Taraval, which has been a lovely open air market happening in a few different spots through the Sunset each Sunday. It's sold by a company called Fleetwood + they have a shop in the Tenderloin. With COVID causing many people to no longer frequent that area, their business has gone way down, so it's awesome to be able to support them while also copping an incredibly cozy sweatshirt.

I love Boa Vida for so many reasons - great wine, yummy açaí bowls and granola, coffee, donuts on Sundays, but most of all - THIS SANDWICH. The Portuguese ham sandwich is to die for, especially if you have them warm it up and add mustard. I don't usually eat ham and this is my go to. There's construction on Taraval right now, so supporting small businesses over there is imperative, since their foot traffic is down! Pro-tip: order on their website beforehand and just walk up to the window to pick up so you don't have to wait!
