I love this broccoli potato soup from Kale Junkie that feels like it's creamier than it truly is (no heavy cream! just some parm!). I am obsessed with this New York Times Cooking recipe for ramen with charred green beans + scallions + chili oil, while it's spicy for me, it's worth it for how tasty it is! Finally, I just snagged this mat from Lululemon that's on sale + thinner than my regular practice mat so I can take it for in-studio classes and leave my thicker one at home (making my bag lighter!). The color is rad, and don't worry, I won't mind if we match ☺️.

+ a great quote // something to ponder from Michaela Cohel's Emmy speech, that I sourced from Alison Roman's awesome newsletter (you should subscribe):

“In a world that entices us to browse the lives of others to help us better determine how we feel about ourselves, and to, in turn, feel the need to be constantly visible — for visibility, these days, seems to somehow equate to success — do not be afraid to disappear. From it, from us, for a while. And see what comes to you in the silence.”

Locally made jewelry! I feel like sundrunk is the perfect description for how it makes me feel. Just ordered the mesa choker, and am obsessed.

Vuori has a new fan, these joggers (I went with a medium) are SO SOFT. I saw a sign the other day that said "no more sweatpants in sf" which I read to the tune of "no more parties in la" by yeezy and I took massive offense to it and placed this order. So soft. They also practice ethical manufacturing, and outline all of their efforts on their site which I appreciate. Yoga teachers can get a discount also :)

Found this spot in SoMa and couldn't be more obsessed. It's sort of Mexican food, sort of a burger place, sort of a great beer spot and sort of a place for comfort food. It's never *that* busy, even for dinner on a Saturday. I love it because we've gone with a group of friends each time, and have scored the one big table they have downstairs - plus the food has never disappointed us, is affordable and you just order from the register making it easy to close out with a group. There's plenty of seating for parties of 2-4 and the upstairs is reserved for extra large groups and parties. SO delicious and a super cool grungy vibe too.

It has been a MINUTE! But I'm excited to be back sharing some things I love with you all.

This is pretty much equal parts toppings and salad and I LOVE IT. Herbs, zucchini, lemon, PARM!, it's just the most delicious thing and even if you're not a zucchini person, I've proven in my home that even zucchini haters love it. BIG fan. Alison Roman is the queen. Do not skimp on the herbs or roasted scallions and definitely do not skip roasting the walnuts!

An East Bay hike! This was a zinger as you got to the top of the climb, but generally just a super enjoyable hike with lots of beautiful trees. I would highly recommend water and shoes with some traction for the way down - I did this in my trail running shoes and they were perfect. 5.6 mile loop that felt much quicker to me, I believe we completed it in about two hours. If you don't have AllTrails Pro, I can't recommend it enough. The $25 a year to be able to download trails saves me from getting lost a million times over.

This is my favorite easy recipe when I'm craving baked goods. I love to top this with sugar and a bunch of walnuts, I also go light on the sugar in the bread. Just a nice, easy scrumptious start to the day with coffee and if you're anything like me, you tend to buy too many bananas, so this is a perfect way to put them to use. Enjoy!!
